Tinder Plus is here.
Tinder as we know it has changed. The free dating app now offers users additional premium services, called Tinder Plus, at a price. And that price is more if you're over 28. Ouch.
The news was initially revealed by Tinder's CEO and co-founder, Sean Rad, during the Forbes Under 30 Summit last year. At the time, he wouldn't divulge any specific details about the extra features, except to say that the paid-for service would include things 'users have been begging us for' and 'will offer so much value we think users are willing to pay for them.'
Now we know this add-on is called Tinder Plus and it offers users the option to undo any accidental left swipes (more about how Tinder works). The feature also allows you to connect with people in different cities using the 'Passport' function.
Tinder Plus will cost you £14.99 if you’re 28 or over, compared with just £3.99 for users ages 18 to 27. But, Tinder addicts, don't fret, the app will essentially remain free. 'The core offering will always remain free,' Rad said. 'At least that’s the plan.'
Would you pay for Tinder Plus? Or are you happy with the app as it is? Let us know in the comment box below.
