The erotic novel's effect means women are becoming more experimental in the bedroom

The Fifty Shades of Grey effect continues as it has emerged two out of three young women have experimented with bondage.

The sale of sex toys and lingerie has rocketed due to the popularity of the erotic novel, and this shows no sign of wavering after the official range is close to selling out.

So is it any surprise 72 per cent of women aged 18-24 say they own a sex toy, and most women have tried bondage?

The survey, commissioned by weekly title More! magazine, also shows that young women are increasingly sexually active. 40 per cent say they have sex two to three times per week, while six per cent say they have sex every day.

30 per cent of those surveyed have made a sex tape, and one in ten have had a threesome.

More! editor Chantelle Horton, who carried out the research, said: 'At More! we have a close relationship with our readers and they never hold back when it comes to sex.

'Our survey shows the Fifty Shades phenomenon is still making waves.

'Young women are more adventurous than ever in the bedroom, with one in ten revealing they've tried a threesome.'
