There is a strange form of porn that has spiked 10,000% in viewers this week and its name definitely took us by surprise...

St Patrick’s Day is the one time a year when it’s socially acceptable to start drinking at work (shhh! No it’s coffee in this flask, promise!), wear head-to-toe green, and apparently…watch leprechaun porn.

Yes, we’re serious.

While many of us (Irish or not) honour the annual holiday at our local watering holes, knee-deep in green cocktails and Guinness, recent figures show that a surprisingly high number of people opt to stay home instead and indulge in some leprechaun-themed erotica…each to their own.

Pornhub, a site boasting 20 million unique daily visitors has been keeping track, and its statistics are pretty surprising - especially to those of us who only found out that leprechaun porn existed, well, today.

According to the network, Leprechaun porn is searched and watched all year round but ‘without a doubt, Saint Patrick’s Day causes a major uptick in Irish-themed porn interests’.

Last year’s St. Patrick’s Day saw searches for leprechaun porn spike by 6,000%, and the amount of users including the word ‘Irish’ in their adult film search went up by 600%. Other specific terms that prove popular on the annual Irish holiday include ‘Celtic’, ‘Irish cougar’, ‘Irish redhead’ and ‘green hair’. Yes we are still being deadly serious. If you’re worried that you’ve missed an excuse to watch some leprechaun erotica, don’t panic! The trend is repeating itself right now so if this is something that interests you, enjoy - you’re not alone. No judgement from us, but we’d rather celebrate by painting our faces green and listening to The Corrs.

We couldn’t tell you exactly what leprechaun porn entails because quite frankly, we’re too scared to look, but judging by these figures the chances are one of your friends can tell you.
