Clarence House has confirmed that the royal couple have jetted off on their honeymoon
Ten days after their wedding, Prince William and Kate Middleton have jetted off on a two-week honeymoon, Clarence House confirmed today.
Although the confirmation came with an assertion that the destination would not be revealed, a spokeswoman for the Seychelle's department of tourism told The Telegraph today that the newlyweds had landed at the country's main airport at 7.20am local time this morning.
WILLIAM AND KATE: RELATIONSHIP IN PICS From there, they transferred on a helicopter to a private island, where it is believed they will stay in a secluded villa for 10 days. The couple were left their Anglesey home yesterday, laden with luggage, and Clarence House confirmed they had left on their honeymoon today: 'We are not confirming, and we are not commenting, on speculation on where they may be going on their private honeymoon, we are just confirming that they have gone.'
'The couple have asked that their privacy be respected during their honeymoon' a statement concluded.
It has been rumoured that not even Kate knew where William was whisking her away to, and that he planned the entire trip as a surprise. The royal pair had just a small window to fit in their romantic break, before they start their first official joint tour, which will see them visit California and Canada for ten days.
