Congratulations are definitely in order!

Last year may have been the year for royal weddings, with both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tying the knot. But it looks like 2019 could be the year of royal engagements, with it being announced today that Princess Beatrice is engaged.

Yes, 31-year-old Princess Beatrice is officially engaged to her partner Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, with the couple reportedly getting engaged in Italy.

'The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York to Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi,' Princess Beatrice's parents announced in a statement. 'Her Royal Highness and Mr. Mapelli Mozzi became engaged while away for the weekend in Italy earlier this month. The wedding will take place in 2020. Further details will be announced in due course.'

There is no word as to details for the upcoming 2020 wedding, but going by her sister's wedding last year, there should be a lot of celebrities in the pews, with Beatrice and Eugenie known to run in A-list circles.

Beatrice and Edoardo are rumoured to have been dating for just over a year, but the couple have known each other for years, with Edoardo being a close friend of the family.

Congratulations to Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi!
