Looking svelte is usually commended but Keely Hawes's husband, Matthew Macfadyen has told his wife to stop going to the gym.
The star of the BBC's popular drama Upstairs Downstairs told the Daily Telegraph her actor husband has told her that she is becoming too muscly.
'I did go to the gym for two weeks, but then Matthew said I had to stop as I was looking too muscly,' she says.
It seemed a little unfair as she said she had only gone in the first place to please him. 'I asked him if I should go to the gym and he said, 'Everyone could be a little bit more toned,' recalls Hawes.
'I thought, 'Thank you very much!' I expected him to say 'Of course not, my darling, you look perfect the way you are.'
