Here’s everything to know about Jennifer Lopez’s recent red carpet confrontation
Jennifer Lopez is one of the most talked-about women in the world right now, and from her sweet relationship with now fiancé Alex Rodriguez and their children to her empowering business advice, she never fails to make viral news.
This week, the 50-year-old made headlines as she took to the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival to watch her new film, Hustlers.
But it wasn’t her daffodil yellow Maison Yeya fall ’19 couture gown or the film’s all-star cast (Cardi B, Constance Wu, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo etc) that made news. Instead it was her confrontation on the red carpet.
Yes, really.
As Jennifer Lopez posed for photographs on the TIFF red carpet, a group of animal rights protestors held up signs addressed to her, calling out her wearing of fur.
‘JLO HATES ANIMALS,’ read one sign, while others said ‘Stop wearing fur Jennifer Lopez, stop wearing fox fur’ and ‘Shame on you J. Lo for wearing fur’.
Why the Hustlers premiere? Well, J-Lo can be seen wearing fur in a scene in the film’s trailer, but it is unknown as of yet whether the fur in the film is real or faux.
