What. A. Day. Future Shapers Live was all it promised to be and more. Here are all the best things that happened at our game-changing event...
On Saturday 20 May we gathered together a top selection of speakers, brands and you, our amazing Marie Claire readers, to deliver a day full of inspiration, practical advice and of course beauty treats. With the best line-up of panelists yet and session topics to stir discussion we just want to relive the day all over again.
But, if you weren’t lucky enough to get a ticket here’s a selection of our favourite things from the day...
1. An empowering panel of speakers.
From Gina Miller to Louise Pentland the line-up of women speaking and sharing their stories at Future Shapers Live, in partnership with Neutrogena®, was truly inspiring. This year’s carefully selected panel of women delivered insightful anecdotes, insider tips and even some laughs when discussing topics ranging from the right time to have a baby to becoming your own influencer. Highlights from the day included Jen Sincero's lunchtime inspiration panel and Katherine Ryan's hysterical closing keynote.
2. The Neutrogena beauty lounge
In between being inspired and planning our next career move we found ourselves being pampered in the Neutrogena beauty lounge. Thanks to our favourite brands a total makeover was on offer. Neutrogena were on hand to deliver facials and hand massages, Sassoon offering hair styling, Nails Inc. providing manicures, KIKO Milano on make-up, Pavan adorning our hands in stunning henna and even massages from BodyWorks in the chilled out mindfulness room.
3. The most instagrammable venue. Ever.
The Sofitel London St. James played host to Future Shapers Live and was the perfect backdrop for a spectacular day. Think French opulence with a twist of city cool to produce a sleek London venue. Covered with inspiring messages (shout out to Beyoncé for having the most shared quote of the day) if you haven’t given The Sofitel London St. James a visit then you need to.
4. Cointreau cocktail hour
At 5.30pm it was time to network and enjoy a well deserved cocktail courtesy of Cointreau. Our favourite? The Cointreau Fizz Classic (Cointreau, fresh lime juice, soda water) which for anyone planning any Summer entertainment is a must for the drinks menu. And for those wanting a softer drink? Smartwater and Appletiser were on hand throughout the day leaving us feeling totally refreshed.
