Now we know
In all important Facebook news, we've discovered what the heck that little flower reaction emoji was actually all about.
To mark Mother's Day in more than 80 countries across the world, Facebook introduced a temporary reaction emoji. The flower emoji.
In a statement Facebook said: 'In honour of Mother's Day, we are testing the ability for people in a few markets to leave a flower reaction.'
Because who needs real flowers when you can send a single digital blossom, eh?
This is the first time the social media platform has introduced temporary emoji, and gave little indication as to whether it plans to do similar in the future.
Flower emoji-gate comes just after bar chain All Bar One decided it was about time we were all given the opportunity to communicate arguably the most importation emoji-tion of all, introducing the extremely detailed brunch emoji.
