This new 'dating app' wants couples to get to know each other better

When talking IRL fails, try an app...
Proof, were it needed, that there really is an app for everything, comes Happy Couple.
Billed as 'a fun quiz-style game to discover what your partner really thinks,' the new app is in fact an attempt to help people get to know each other via the very (un)technical format of digital quizzes.
When we say people – we actually mean couples. Two people in a committed relationship, who, we’d like to presume know each other and, you know, actually talk.
Between hooking up on Tinder and breaking up via text, Happy Couple is an app that lets you avoid interacting face to face. Just what the world needs more of…
Each day, each partner answers five different questions for their partner that spans six different topics, and then answers questions for themselves. The app features 1200 quizzes, and asks questions such as 'how does [insert partner name here] keep track of tasks on his/her plate?' Other questions include 'how does my partner feel about monogamy?'
So in a nutshell, all the questions that could be asked in person are just an app and quiz question away. Depressing, right?

Once upon a time would-be lovers spent their time getting to know everything about each other. Questions were asked and observations were made with serious fervour, ultimately leading to the hope of happily ever after. In the digital age, it seems nobody has time for that — you know, learning about a person IRL rather than trawl social media accounts. So now there’s an app that means you can sit on the sofa with a loved one and take quizzes without having to utter a word to each other.
When talking IRL fails, why not try a quiz? Or not, as we really, really hope you choose.
