French women now have the chance to pop to the shops and come home with a new partner thanks to dating website adopteunmec.com.
The website, which translates as "Adopt a Guy", has opened a pop-up boutique in the heart of Paris's shopping district.
Eligible bachelors dressed in quirky costumes pose in human-sized toy boxes while crowds of women have photos taken with guys who caught their eyes. Women can contact them - and other men signed up on the books - through the site.
The men in the boutique are all volunteers who pick their own characters and costumes. Some even come with character-appropriate accessories, such as a surfboard or weights.
One of the men, Jefferson Stragier, said the women really get into it. 'They're very open-minded and approachable. They take it all as a joke and I think that's how you have to see it -- as a bit of fun'.
Lucille Roux, one of the many female visitors to the boutique, agreed, saying: 'I already know a bit about the website, and I find all this funny. It reminds you a little bit of the red light district in Amsterdam, but much tamer and for us girls instead.'
