It was all over the streets at London Fashion Week

Call it the excitement of spring being round the corner, but yellow is having a bit of a moment in the fashion world. At London Fashion Week, the colour was all over the cobbles, as well as the catwalk.

It was worn head-to-toe for a real statement: think mustard corduroy suit, or oversized buttercup yellow jumper with pastel yellow trousers, and matching earrings for good measure.

However, for a more paired back look, the street style set also wore accessories in the primary colour to lift a more neutral check or denim. Zara statement earrings were a popular choice, as well as the Loewe puzzle bag or Wandler Brown bag.

Meanwhile, street style Queen Olivia Palermo wore a simple yellow scarf wrapped around a rust-coloured jumper, both from Pringle of Scotland. So chic.

The colour is quite simply the best way to give your current wardrobe (and mood) a little lift while you wait for the warmer weather.

Any shade goes too, so whether you're a fan of vintage mustard or can't wait to embrace the pastels trend, here are the best yellow items to shop now.
