There are many hugely successful women in fashion, but one who's caught our eye more than most in the accessories world is designer Katie Hillier. And this is why she's an inspiration...
To celebrate Marie Claire's 25th birthday this month, we teamed up with The Outnet and legendary photographer Rankin to photograph some of the most iconic women from the worlds of music, TV, fashion, beauty and politics – and the rising stars who are following in their footsteps. The results are stunning, and the interviews inspiring.
Accessories Queen Katie Hillier has designed for the likes of Luella and Victoria Beckham and she's just been appointed Creative Director of Marc By Marc Jacobs. But she hasn't let her success go to her head – in fact, her words of advice are pretty damn inspiring.
She tells us: 'If you work hard, you become successful. It's not about money, it's about being able to do what you love.'
We couldn't agree more.
Sophia Webster is following in her footsteps, fast becoming a legend in the accessories industry. The shoe designer designs creations for 'strong-minded, independent women who stand out from the crowd.' How gorgeous does she look in our icons shoot? See the full shoot in this month's issue of Marie Claire, out now.
