The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out last night in a slinky silver version of the Jenny Packham gown.

But eagle-eyed fashionistas will remember it was exactly the same dress Angelina Jolie had worn just months earlier - the only difference being the colour.

Kate Middleton opted for a metallic-hued version of the grecian-style designer dress to attend St James's Palace for the National Memorial Arboretum Appeal dinner with Prince William.

Meanwhile, Angelina was bold and glamorous as ever when she wore a siren red version of the asymmetric gown to the Tree Of Life film premiere in LA earlier this year. 

Rumour has it that Kate Middleton is a massive fan of Angelina Jolie, so we suspect she's probably been eyeing up Angelina's wardrobe choices for some time.

When The Duchess was asked who she would most like to meet on her Hollywood tour earlier this year, she immediately gushed, 'Angelina Jolie!'

It's no surprise both stars stepped out in style - Jenny Packham has been a favourite with a whole host of A-listers on the red carpet for some time.
