The battle of the blushing brides! SJP and Nicola Roberts' matching marital style

We had to do a double-take when pics of Nicola Roberts at the Pride of Britain Awards first pinged into our inbox this week - not only was she wearing a wedding dress for her red carpet moment, it was Carrie Bradshaw's wedding dress! Yes, now we know that when Sarah Jessica Parker attempted to walk down the aisle in the Sex and the City movie, her version of the Vivienne Westwood frock was decidedly more frou-frou, but the design Ms Roberts sported is bridal none-the-less, and on sale now at Net-a-Porter.com.

In character as Carrie, SJP's champagne silk gown included a voluminous skirt, gathered and plumped into a floor-skimming puffball. It was styled up with a ubiquitous veil and blue feathered headpiece.

Nicola's number has the same peaked sweetheart neckline, built-in corset and full puff skirt, albeit without the extra full-length layer.

Toning down the 'I do' styling, she paired hers with studded round-toe courts and an Alice band, complete with black corsage.
