Sarah Jessica Parker and Helena Christensen put their style on trial, when they both snapped up the very same Stella McCartney nude dress

Nude hues are one of the hottest trends on the season, so it should come as no surprise that Stella McCartney's little lace dress has proved such a hit with the A-list - with both Sarah Jessica Parker and Helena Christensen snapping up the pretty mini. 

But while the frock might be matching, each starlet gave the styling her own signature spin...

For SJP, at a New York party in March, this meant covering up her Stella style pick with a white boyfriend blazer, and accessorising with an a stack of chain necklaces.

She opted for black accents - with round-toe courts and a slouchy tote.

Helena rocked the dress at a charity dinner just this week, and let her frock do the talking, leaving extras minimal. Eschewing gems, she dabbled in the pink spectrum for both bag and shoes, choosing a soft coral chain-handle bag and raspberry ankle-strap heels.

Both ladies left their locks loose, and chose glowing make-up, with soft smokey eyes and a neutral lip.
