Who wore it best? Daisy Lowe Vs. Thandie Newton

Daisy Lowe and Thandie Newton face today's fashion face-off

Today's who wore it best doesn't just pitch two stylish stars against each other - namely Thandie Newton and Daisy Lowe - but is a question of which dress is best too.

Both starlets snapped up Jamine Di Milo's daring panelled gown, but while Newton chose the heavenly white version, Lowe opted for vampy black.

So where to begin? Ms Newton's red carpet moment is almost a fashion memory, more than a year ago in September 2008. The actress attended the premiere of Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla in the ethereal design, and teamed it with silver strappy stilettos, statement drop earrings and a chunky bracelet.

For Lowe, the dress was the perfect choice for the unveiling of this year's Pirelli calendar, as it showed exactly why she was chosen for the iconic almanac in the first place.

Letting her plunging frock remain the focus, the Brit It-model wore her hair scraped back, and added black tights and towering platforms. A duo of gold bangles were her only gems.
