Cheryl Cole and Tara Palmer Tomkinson play style snap, but who has the fashion X Factor?

It's a case of who has the style X Factor for today's who wore it best, as Cheryl Cole battles it out with Tara Palmer-Tomkinson for your fashion favour.

Something tells us this one might be a bit of a no-brainer, but here goes!

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson gave Stéphane Rolland's autumn/winter '09 couture gown its red carpet debut at a London fashion bash back in October.

Staying true to the version shown on the catwalk, her sleeved gown might on first glance appear more demure than Mrs C's, but the socialite made if far from modest.

Flashing a whole 'lotta leg, she ensured her pins were permanently on show, while that plunging neckline slipped throughout the evening, to ensure the paps saw a little too much of the Palmer-Tompkinson assets.

Onto the Girl Aloud, and for the 2010 National TV Awards she chose a customised version of the original design, which eschewed the sleeves, leaving simply the cuffs, and was lined on top to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions.

Cheryl wore her hair high in a soft updo, and teamed her dress with a metallic clutch and black sandals.
