Marc Jacobs has finally put an end to rumours he’s turned to acting as he stars in the trailer for Disconnect. The fashion designer plays Harvey, an online porn pimp who runs a home for homeless young people and then forces them to partake in web-chat porn.

The film focuses on the affects technology and access to the internet and subsequent porn sites can have on one family. Jason Bateman, Alexander Skarsgard and Andrea Riseborough take on the lead roles, but Marc can be seen at the end of the trailer.
While the designer insists this move was a fleeting moment in his career rather than a change of direction, he did tell Entertainment Weekly how much he enjoyed the experience.
He said: ‘I enjoyed saying I did it and I enjoyed parts of doing it, but you know, it's not ever been my dream to act or anything like that. It's probably the last time I'll ever do it.’
Of course, for Marc Jacobs, his costume was a very important aspect of the role as he revealed: ‘I had these really tacky suburban disco shirts with crucifixes embroidered on them, and the worst fitting dad jeans - I never wear jeans anyway - but these were just bad and acid washed with flannel zip jackets sewn to the side.
