Designer Victoria Beckham is set to add childrenswear to her growing fashion empire

She’s already designed jeans, accessories and a hugely successful eponymous line, not to mention an exclusive range which launched this week on luxury e-boutique Net-a-porter.com, and now Victoria Beckham is turning her hand to childrenswear.

News reaches us that the Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer is set to create a range of kid’s clothes to add to her burgeoning fashion empire, with the star reportedly already knuckling down to sketching some designs for the upcoming collection.

It’s understood that Victoria will use her own family – hubby David Beckham, sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, and newborn daughter Harper Seven – as inspiration for the range, which will include ‘practical but fun’ clothes for babies and young children.

An insider told Showbiz Spy: ‘Now Victoria has a family of boys and girls she wants to reflect that in her fashion work and produce a line of clothes for children too.’

They added: ‘In some of her downtime with Harper, Victoria has been jotting down drawings and coming up with ideas for kids’ clothes that are practical but fun too.’

According to the source, Victoria is roping in husband David to bounce ideas off too, with the LA Galaxy star ‘really excited’ about the line.

But what we really want to know, is whether we can expect to see cute-as-a-button baby Harper and the Beckham boys modelling the clothes in the campaign shots when they launch, as we’d absolutely love to see that. Here’s hoping.
