Triumph is taking its supportive role of women quite literally this season. The historic lingerie house has launched a campaign to back female creatives looking to break into business.
The campaign, titled ‘Supporting Women in Making’, has seen Triumph reach out to a number of women (dubbed ‘makers’) across a variety of creative disciplines in a celebration of true feminine craftsmanship and expertise. The roster of female ambassadors is impressive – sassy, retro pop siren Paloma Faith, celebrity chef Gizzi Erskine, stylist Grace Woodward and designer Roksanda Ilincic are all getting behind the initiative.
Roksanda – the campaign’s fashion insider – tells us: 'I was inspired to get involved in a campaign that recognises women supporting women. As a female designer in a field perhaps surprisingly dominated by men, this is an area close to my heart and my own experience.
She adds: 'I think it is essential for bigger companies to help start ups. I owe a lot to the BFC and many friends in industry like Lulu Kennedy, for their efforts in consulting and nurturing young designers.'
The group of inspiring celebrities are hosting a multitude of events within 'Maison Triumph', a hot new pop-up space in Seven Dials, London ( the hot-spot to catch all the amazing free events around LFW!), which is open to the public from September, until January 2014. The space includes installations, events, inspirational talks and a series of maker workshops all of which feature our brand ambassadors.
As well as fronting the campaign, the stars will also be acting as mentors to a collection of real women Triumph is championing to help start up and support their businesses. They include an illustrator, a mosaic and multi-media artist, a furniture designer, a jewellery designer and a chocolatier, and all will feature in Maison Triumph until next year.
