They say Christmas is all about the giving, but luxury department store Harvey Nichols believes it’s all about the receiving too, if the ‘Could I Be Clearer’ Christmas ad is anything to go by.
Making sure its fashion-loving customers don’t get landed with any dud gifts this holiday season, the luxury retailer’s new festive ad encourages shoppers to send e-cards to their loved ones with messages telling the recipient exactly what they want for Christmas. Pretty genius, right?
The highly anticipated follow-up to last year’s ‘Sorry, I Spent it On Myself’ features a doting niece signing a Christmas card for her Auntie Val, a woman who completely misses the mark when it comes to gift giving. We all know the feeling…
So the niece delivers the card to Auntie Val, who is thrilled by the gesture but of course, there's more to it than that….
And to coincide with the festive ad, Harvey Nichols is also launching a rather unique range of Christmas cards to help people receive the gift they really want. The ‘Could I Be Clearer’ cards feature 6 designs all based on traditional designs, each wishing the recipient Seasons Greetings, and handily offering a not-too-subtle hint at their desired present.
Not quite the heart-felt Monty The Penguin message, but just as entertaining. Take a look at the ad below…
