The fashion set turn out for Versace store launch party in New York

Alexa Chung and Bar Refaeli joined the likes of Jennifer Hudson and Debbie Harry at the store opening in NYC

Versace opened its new stand-alone New York store last night, and invited a whole host of their famous fashion friends along to celebrate.

Honorary New Yorker and TV host Alexa Chung stepped out looking as chic as ever in an on-trend burgundy turtle neck top, which she teamed with a matching leather miniskirt, round shoulder bag and flats at the boutique launch party in the city's Soho district.

She rubbed shoulders with a clutch of the world's leading models including Israeli beauty Bar Refaeli, Victoria's Secret angel Doutzen Kroes, supe Linda Evangelista and Czech catwalk star Karolina Kurkova.

NYC music icon Debbie Harry was in attendance too, as was singer Jennifer Hudson and Princess Charlene of Monaco, who added a dose of royalty to proceedings in a chic black outfit. Lady of the hour, Donatella Versace, made the trip to New York as well, bringing along daughter Allegra to celebrate.
