The A-list's latest style crush
Posh, SJP, Rihanna and more - why everyone's wearing Balmain
Posh, SJP, Rihanna and more - why everyone's wearing Balmain
If there is one label dominating the celebrity style pages of late, then it has to be Balmain.
The A-list's hottest new style crush, designer Christophe Decarnin's spring/summer '09 collection has legions of celebrity fans, who love it both for its edgy take on casual chic, as well as its high octane dresses.
On the red carpet, it's scored style hits for the likes of Kate Winslet and Sarah Jessica Parker, who both chose beaded LBDs for glitzy events, while its green, bold-shoulder minidress ensured Jennifer Connelly stood out from the star-studded crowd at the premiere of He's Just Not That Into You.
Its glamtastic thigh-skimming frocks have also cropped up on the eternally youthful Kylie, who wore a block-colour number for the Brits, and Lindsay Lohan, who stepped out for her first post-break-up public appearance in a mini strapless white beaded bandeau.
It's not only the red carpet though where Balmain has proved a celebrity favourite. Its bold shoulder jackets are the hottest piece of the season, spotted on Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyoncé, and, yet again, SJP.
The accolade for number one Balmain fan has to go to Rihanna though, who appears to have snapped up the entire spring/summer collection.
