In his ‘Little Winter Follies’, Giorgio Armani brought us a lively collection of sultry charcoal, hot red, and the season’s hottest colour combination: navy and black.
Models walked the runway two by two in a bewildering array of intricate, embellished and detailed outfits – so that there was almost too much to take in on first viewing.
Key pieces included knee-length turn-ups worn under skirts or over opaques, velvet jackets and dresses (set to be a key trend for Fall 2012) dressed up with chunky, statement necklaces.
Expect ruffles everywhere for AW12, from a beautiful tiered navy wool cape to ruffled bibs on shirts, peplum effects on blazers and for the evening, tulle ruffle over sequinned pencil skirt.
Armani has, yet again, nailed the key looks for fall.
