An epic colllection packed with drama, passion and of course glamour, Dolce & Gabbana's Autumn/Winter show on day five of Milan Fashion Week was one not to be missed.
Rose-entwined chandeliers hung from the ceiling, gilt-edged mirrors were propped up on the catwalk and a Pavarotti singing La Donna e Mobile soared out from the sound system as Milan’s most glamorous (including muse Monica Bellucci and Oscar winner and fan Helen Mirren) took their seats for the big ticket of day five.
Dolce & Gabbana’s Autumn/Winter collection was a decadent celebration of Sicilian Baroque – rather reminiscent of needlepoint postcards from the 60s of Italian women in traditional dress. From black capes with gold embroidery to black lace dresses with puff sleeves, sheer boned basques and voluminous skirts that exaggerated the hips, it was unashamedly dramatic and costume-like. Models were accessorized with stone-encrusted headbands, veils, cherub earrings, chain draped box bags and lace-up boots.

The all-black looks were interspersed by the odd froth of while tulle and metallic floral print dresses with plenty of ruffles (both big trends for A/W).
A huge collection with some beautiful pieces that are sure to set the fashion agenda for fall. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM MILAN FASHION WEEK
