What did Lady Gaga wear to meet the Queen? The singer arrived at the 2009 Royal Variety Performance wearing a standardly crazy red latex Elizabethan Gown...
It's no secret that we're big fans of La Ga over at MC.co.uk, so naturally, we were delighted to see the songstress topping the line up at this year's Royal Variety Performance.
And she well and truly got into the Royal spirit of the evening, by dressing up as Elizabeth I for her finale performance - albeit a rather gothic, red-latex clad version of the iconic monarch.
The singer closed the show, which was held in Blackpool for the first time in 54 years, with one of her lesser known tracks, Speechless - which she wrote in an attempt to convince her ailing father to have heart surgery.
And, as always, she put on a spectacular show, performing at a piano raised high above the stage on spindly stilts.

Along with the other acts, including Miley Cyrus, Alexandra Burke and Katherine Jenkins, Gaga then lined up backstage for her meet-and-greet with the Queen.
We can only imagine what conversation must have taken place between this most bizarre of pairings... Oh to have been a fly on the wall!
Other guests to appear in the star-studded show included Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity, comedian Peter Kay and smooth crooner Michael Buble.
