Stars of screen and fashion celebrate 80 years of Ferragamo
Fashion house Salavatore Ferragamo celebrated its 80th anniversary this weekend, with a star studded guest list and a host of glamorous events in Shanghai.
Melissa George, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ginnifer Goodwin and Christina Ricci were among the stars that flew into China for the three days of festivities, which included the unveiling of a retrospective exhibition, a cocktail party and catwalk show, amongst the many events.
Shanghai was the venue of choice, 'for the country's rich history and traditions' Wanda Ferragamo, chairwoman of the company and widow of founder Salvatore, told WWD.
With almost 50% of the businesses turnover-taking place in Asia, it seemed a fitting venue for the celebration.
The fashion house also took the opportunity to launch a new fragrance, named Tuscan Soul and men's and women's timepiece line.
