Rihanna’s Met Gala dress has won the red carpet (and the internet)
This. Is. AMAZING.
This. Is. AMAZING.

The Met Gala 2017 has come and gone, and while we were sleeping some of the biggest celebs on the planet walked the red carpet in the most daring, theatrical and ostentatious outfits to date. If you haven't seen all the best dresses, we've rounded them up for you. Hint: they're pretty amazing.
And as it's the one night of the year where traditional red carpet rules are thrown right out the window, it's impossible to be the worst dressed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Every year we are treated to a bevy of supercharged pieces, and all eyes are on the celebrities as they sashay in some of the most fabulous Met Gala dresses.
However, Rihanna has once again proved that she absolutely owns both the red carpet and the internet after stepping out in a larger-than-life dress which paid homage to the Rei Kawakuba/Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-Between theme.
Where many A-listers appeared to tone down their interpretation, Rihanna just full-on went there. The outfit was a look from the avant garde Comme des Garcons Fall 2016 collection, and the multi-layered 3D design sent the fashpack into meltdown.
Teaming the pink and floral piece with custom made DSQUARED2 hip-high lace up sandals, Rihanna definitely had all eyes on her.

Pictures of her dress have already been turned into memes (thanks, internet), and this one in particular seems to be garnering a lot of interest.
But as many others have pointed out, Rihanna did not hold back and was one of the few A-listers who actually devoted themselves to the theme. She has been praised for efforts, with one fan on Twitter saying: "Rihanna heard the theme, did her homework, studied the guide & that's why she's number one.
