The young royal gives her look an overhaul after a string of fashion disasters
After her much-dicussed royal wedding outfit several months ago, Princess Beatrice has hired Emma Watson’s stylist to give her look an overhaul.
The young royal has appointed the Harry Potter star’s stylist, Charlie Anderson, to give a wardrobe a shake-up and help her make better sartorial choices that flatter her figure.
The Princess was allegedly ‘mortified’ by the criticism of the Valentino outfit she wore to the wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William, in particular the jokes about her bizarre Philip Treacy hat, and took swift action by hiring Anderson – a former magazine fashion editor who also counts Katie Holmes, Anne Hathaway and Nicole Richie as high-profile clients.
Princess Beatrice hired Anderson several weeks ago at an eye-watering rate of £1,500 a day, and it’s already working wonders. The 22-year-old netted plaudits galore for the nude embellished Elie Saab gown she wore to Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball last weekend, an electric blue cocktail dress she wore to a recent polo event and a plum number she wore to the Chelsea Flower Show - all styled by Anderson.
Anderson’s agency, Naked Artists, confirmed the royal appointment, telling the Metro newspaper: ‘Yes, Charlie is working for the Princess and has been since the royal wedding, but she has signed a non-disclosure agreement.’
Anderson maybe keeping schtum, but sources say that she’s advised the young royal to tone down patterns and stick to block colours and classic tailored pieces after being introduced to her through her mother, the Duchess of York.
