For her Resort 2018 Collection, Miuccia Prada decided to show at home, and what a venue she chose.
The show was set in the formidable Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (aka the most beautiful shopping mall in the world), which so happens to be above the original Prada shop.
In other words, it was the perfect setting for a cruise collection that showcased the extravagant Lolita-esque femininity we’ve come to love from Prada, but with a bit of a modern kick.
A dose of sports chic was injected to the line, and feathers, frills and sequins mixed with black nylon, sweatshirts, velcro trainers and bum bags - nothing twee here, oh no.
Here are five looks we’re still talking about in the office.
The sheer blouse

There’s nothing we don’t love about this look, from the knee-high art deco print socks to the jewelled shirt and cinched waist.
The illustrated co-ords
Prada collaborated with James Jean again to produce a rabbits and lilies print worthy of a fairytale. This co-ordinated combo is the perfect canvas.
The nylon mac
This black trench coat with feathers at the cuffs is the only coat we need next season.
The sequin skirt
We’re very partial to sequins here at Marie Claire, so this skirt made it straight to the top of our wish list. The high neck ruffle blouse is a winner too.
The sports look
If ever there was time to bring back the velcro trainers, this is it. It’s all about mixing shapes and textures.
Now excuse us while we go and rummage in our closets to try and recreate the look.
