An Opening Ceremony pop-up shop will land in Shoreditch's Ace Hotel later this year
As if the new Ace Hotel in Shoreditch wasn’t cool enough, it’s now getting its own Opening Ceremony pop-up shop.
The retail mavens already have shops in New York, LA and Tokyo, and were due a London outpost when they opened at 35 King Street in Covent Garden two years ago. Now, the shop will temporarily move to swanky ole’ Shoreditch while the Covent Garden store is renovated.
And to The Ace Hotel, none the less, which has had an ongoing relationship with the brand since 2010, when the first OC pop-up sprouted at the New York location.
The über-cool designer emporium stocks avant-garde and innovative clothes from It-brands, so it only seems fitting that OC would open a trading post in London’s trendiest neighbourhood. This shop will be one of many recent high-fashion additions to the East London area.
OC's pop-up, will inhabit 106 Shoreditch High Street, and is slated to open at the end of July.
As well as heading up one of fashion’s most prized retail chains and taking the wheel as creative directors at Kenzo, OC founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim run with one of the chicest crews in the biz. Kirsten Dunst, Alexa Chung and Alek Wek are major fans. Chloe Sevigny even designs her own line for them.
