Mulberry Bows Out Of London Fashion Week: Here's What You Need To Know
It's the news everyone's talking about – but why IS Mulberry taking a back seat this coming AW14 London Fashion Week?
It's the news everyone's talking about – but why IS Mulberry taking a back seat this coming AW14 London Fashion Week?
Mulberry will take a back seat this coming London Fashion Week, the British fashion house confirmed today.
In a shock move for one of the most popular LFW brands, the team behind Mulberry has issued a statement to say that they will no longer be participating in the shows, meaning no epic runway and no Cara Delevingne sporting the AW14 range. Whaaaat.
A spokesperson for the brand told us: 'Mulberry has not finalised its Creative Director search and will therefore exceptionally not stage a Catwalk Show this February.
'Mulberry will definitely be participating in London Fashion Week and details of this will be released in the near future.’
The brand is known for throwing the coolest parties in the city, so we've no doubt that its presence will involve models and stars hanging out at London's hottest locations as they pledge their support for the brand. The news comes just months after Emma Hill's departure, which saw the Creative Director leave after almost six years at the helm of the heritage brand. Erdem, Roland Mouret and Mary Katrantzou are among the names rumoured to be taking up the helm at Mulberry, but no designer has yet to be confirmed.
We're going to miss the star-packed FROW and the dreamy Claridge's catwalk in February. Let's hope they're throwing one hell of a party instead... watch this space.
