5 fun things that happened at the Moschino show
Betty Boop got a badass makeover
Betty Boop got a badass makeover
Last night, Jeremy Scott touched down in LA to present Moschino's men’s and women’s Resort 2018 collection, and it was predictably brilliant. Here are five fun things that happened at the show.
The set was insane
Jeremy chose MILK Studios as the setting for his latest show, which was inspired by ‘Americana and a road trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas’. And boy did Scott take the theme and run with it. The runway was surrounded by giant neon signs in the shape of cowboys, showgirls, stars and slogans pointing to liquor stores and hotels. Let’s just say they wouldn’t look out of place in Sin City.
Betty Boop and Spongebob got a makeover
We all remember Scott’s breakthrough Sponge Bob for Moschino back in 2014, and you’ll be pleased to hear the cartoon got another makeover for the show, this time of the hell raiser variety. Think leather, flames and slightly demented look. But the main cartoon focus of the show was Betty Boop, and rightly so.
Scott took inspiration from who he calls the ‘original pin-up’ girl and featured her against colourful hues across crop tops, swimsuits and dresses.
Miranda Kerr returned to the runway
After what feels like ages away from the catwalk, Miranda Kerr made a sterling return to model the new resort collection.
Bunny ears and pink cowboy hats were king
Forget anything you thought about hats. Next summer, it’s all about having fun with your look, with Playboy bunny ears, pink cowboy hats and even feather headdresses as the weapons of choice.

The FROW wore amazingly OTT outfits
As you’d expect, celebrities were out in full force at the show, and they went all out with their outfits, most of them in Moschino of course. We loved Fergie’s red top, Vanessa Hudgen’s off-the-shoulder dress and Ashley Graham’s studded biker jacker.
