The First Lady of fashion flaunts her frugal side once more in a colourful dress from Gap
As the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama’s fashion choices are always going to be closely scrutinised, and while she’s worn high street before, Gap is the latest affordable brand to get her nod of approval.
Michelle wore a blue marble-print draped dress from the store, which retails at just £18, to board a plane over the weekend with husband Barack and their two daughters.
She wore the colourful dress as a tunic top and teamed it with white cropped trousers, black leather thong sandals, a lemon yellow shopper bag and sunglasses for a relaxed and chic look.
It’s not the first time the glamorous First Lady has championed high street brands: J.Crew, H&M and Target are among her favourite affordable stores, mixing and matching the less expensive items with pieces from high-end designer labels including Alexander McQueen, Jason Wu and Roksanda Ilincic.
