The First Lady of Fashion flaunts her frugal side again wearing ASOS Africa
After wearing an £18 Gap dress just last week, Michelle Obama has given another affordable brand her nod of approval: ASOS Africa.
The First Lady of the United States wore the printed sleeveless blouse - from online emporium ASOS’ Africa line - during a visit to a township in South Africa.
She wore the top, which features a Kitenge print from Tanzania, underneath a navy blue waistcoat teamed with matching flared trousers and cherry red pumps while visiting children at the Emthonjeni Community Centre in Zandspruit Township, before heading to a meeting with women leaders at the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg.
The top is from the spring/summer 2011 collection and is still available to buy priced £35. What’s more, for every ASOS Africa item sold the web-store will donate £5 to Kenyan charity workshop, SOKO, to build a new clothing production studio.
