Now this is what we call a summer collection. Michael Kors has officially got us all worked up about our 2015 holidays with a range that embodies the spirit of a retro getaway. Here’s the evidence:
He’s (Re)Mastered The Sundress Let’s start with the best bit, shall we? After an all-grey AW14, New York’s king of colour is back with an offering that holiday dream wardrobes are made of. Fifties circle skirts were printed with Stepford Wife florals, but slashed to the navel to make the look modern. Some were embellished, some were in khaki - there was literally a girly-girl silhouette for every occasion. See all the images in the gallery above.
All The Girls Sported A Messy, Low-Slung Plait Because who does their hair nicely on the way to the beach, anyway? It was like Kors’ Fifties cinema heroines had just been for a ride in a sporty little speedster - complete with perfectly windswept barnets.
The Ronettes ‘Be My Baby’ Blasted From The Stereo What a chirpy choice of retro tune. But then Michael Kors is a very happy chap at the moment. His annual revenue hit almost a billion dollars last year, thanks very much to those ever-covetable watches and handbags. This show was his chance to bask in the glow.

He’s Already Sporting A Super-Tan Kors is a man who practices as he preaches. His own Jet Set lifestyle is always perfectly reflected in the clothes, in fact just being around him makes you want to book a holiday ASAP. Call it a Midas touch. We’re already keen for a pair of those SS15 cat eye sunglasses.
