The romantic detail you never noticed on Meghan Markle’s wedding dress
It's becoming a bit of a tradition for royal brides to have a special tribute sewn into their wedding dress. Kate Middleton had a bit of Princess Diana's blue ribbon sewn into her dress, as did Meghan Markle.
However the Duchess of Sussex went one step further, adding a rather romantic detail for her 'something blue'.
In a teaser of the new documentary Queen of the World (25th Sept, 9.15pm on ITV), Meghan revealed that she had a bit of the dress she wore on her first date with Prince Harry sewn inside her skirt.
In the clip, she asks the interviewer, 'Somewhere in here, there's a piece... Did you see it? The piece of blue fabric that's stitched inside? It's my something blue, a piece of fabric from the dress that I wore on our first date'.
The interviewer replies, 'That's about the most romantic thing I've ever heard', making Meghan giggle (watch the clip below).
Meghan previously revealed of said first date, 'It was a blind date' to which Harry replied, 'I was beautifully surprised when I walked into that room and saw her. I was like, "Okay, well I'm going to have to up my game"'.
Oh, and if that wasn't romantic enough, Meghan revealed her wedding veil, with which she paid tribute to the Commonwealth countries, was kept as a surprise for Harry.
