Meghan Markle is the first Royal to be nominated for this award

Meghan Markle is known for breaking the fashion rules a little, from wearing a sheer dress to not wearing a Royal name badge at Ascot, and so it perhaps doesn't come as a surprise that she is the first Royal to be nominated for the Choice Style Icon award.
This is part of the Teen Choice Awards in America, set to take place on 12th August in California. She joins the likes of Blake Lively, Zendaya and even Harry Styles in the competition, so there's a bit of competition.
The awards also celebrate achievements in music and sports, and past winners in the style category have included Harry Styles and Britney Spears.
Once the nominations are in, it's up to the public to vote for their winners, and given how much love Meghan's wardrobe has had so far (lest we forget THAT incredible wedding dress), there's a strong chance she'll win the prize.
However, you're not likely to see Meghan picking up her surfboard (no statuettes here) anytime soon, as she'll obviously be too busy with her Royal duties, which include a tour of Ireland.
As well as the sartorial accolade, Meghan has also been put forward for an Emmy for her portrayal of Rachel Zane in Suits.
