We couldn't quite believe our ears when we first heard that Marc Jacobs was opening a pop-up shop at New York Fashion Week, where social media would be the currency, not pounds or dollars.
The innovative idea saw customers tweeting creative in-store tweets using #MJDaisyChain, to walk away with everything from perfumes to handbags. Sound too good to be true? Well, for once, it's not. And now it's our chance to get involved as the concept store comes to London this Friday, for one weekend only.
More than just a shopping experience, the Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop offers manicures (which you can also pay for with tweets), a chill out lounge, free wi-fi, free coffee, a bar and a DJ set from Hanna Hanra. Customers will be encouraged to tweet using the same #MJDaisyChain and the more creative the tweet, the more chance you have of walking away with a plush designer handbag.
The pop-up shop opens 15-17 August, 10am-8pm Friday/Saturday and 10am-6pm Sunday at 4 East Piazza, Covent Garden, London WC2E 8HD. Don't miss out!
