Leonardo DiCaprio signs up to watch brand, to benefit green charities
While most celebrities sign up for lucrative endorsement deals to benefit their bank balances, that's not the case with Leonardo DiCaprio.
The Revolutionary Road actor has been announced as the new ambassador for luxury watch brand Tag Heuer, in a three-year deal rumoured to be worth multi-millions.
However, the mega bucks will all be winging their way to a good cause, with DiCaprio confirming that his fees from the deal will go directly to environmental charities.
TAG is also getting in on the philanthropic action, and will donating royalties to green causes as well.
On the collaboration, the actor commented via a press release, 'Tag Heuer is a strong brand with a proven commitment to doing good. It is a great day when a company as respected as Tag Heuer explores a different way to do business - selling products and giving back at the same time.
'I'm very excited to start this new partnership, and look forward to a long relationship' he added.
