NY designer to produce special collection for eBay – and voted for by you!
Derek Lam has teamed up with eBay to create an exclusive capsule collection, which will be shown for the first time during New York Fashion Week in February 2011.
After the initial catwalk show, members of the public will be able to vote to decide which items to put into production.
The chosen looks will then be available to buy next summer at fixed prices – so no bidding wars and wallet-friendly prices!
Having dressed all our favourite starlets, including Leighton Meester, Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth, his gorgeous dresses are on our hit-list – and by handing over the power to the people, we can get the looks we love, straight off the catwalk!
Derek says ‘eBay’s technology offers me a unique and innovative opportunity to reach new and existing customers directly, and to create fashion they desire.’
Purses at the ready next summer then…
