Kate Winslet proved that she knows how to own the red carpet when she stepped out in New York last night.
The actress was in the city for the premiere of her latest film A Little Chaos and looked totally sensational in a sophisticated all-black ensemble.
Kate flaunted her toned hourglass curves in a sexy sleeveless little black dress featuring a delicate silk neckline. The midi-length design really did fit Kate in all of the right places, by hugging her trim waist and revealing her toned arms and slender legs.
When it came to accessories, the 39-year-old decided to stick to a simple gold colour scheme. She decorated her wrists with a couple of thin metallic bangles and sported some elegant dangly earrings.
And of course we can't provide a run-down of Kate's head-turning outfit without mentioning her fabulous £595 footwear.
The British star slipped on a pair of towering Christian Louboutin Athena Alta heels. Black and gold with the French designer's trademark red sole, the stilettos added inches to Kate's frame.

To pull her whole look together, Kate twisted her golden hair into a neat updo and blended smoky tones around her eyes for a sultry finish. She kept her lips neutral, opting for a natural-looking yet slightly glossy colour.
Kate was joined at the screening by co-star Alan Rickman who she was snapped joking and laughing with throughout the evening.
In the romantic flick, Kate plays a strong-willed landscape gardener called Sabine who takes on the task of constructing the grand gardens at Versailles. Alan, 69, stars as King Louis XIV.
