It was a fairytale-frock off between three leading ladies when they hit the red carpet at the London premiere of their new film, Nine
Last night saw the world premiere of Nine in London, with not one, not two, but three of the film's leading ladies hitting the red carpet - as Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Kate Hudson came to town.
It might have been a freezing cold evening in Leicester Square, but that didn't deter the stars from putting on a suitably stylish show.
Despite donning some elegant outerwear, the stars bravely went sans coat for a portion of the red carpet walk - and boy are we glad they did, because it meant we could get a good look at their gorgeous gowns.
Leading the way was Kate Hudson, who threw off her long white blazer to reveal a simply stunning Atelier Versace Mikado Ball gown. The intricate creation included a silver embellished bodice, with a dual-length skirt that cascaded in huge folds and pleats. Some eye-wateringly tall silver platforms and cute front-plaited hair, completed the look.
Following closely behind her was on and off-screen pal, Penelope Cruz. The Spanish senorita also opted for high-octane glamour, in this fit-for-a-princess silver-blue Ralph Lauren frock, with full ruffled skirt and sparkling bodice.
The third of the leading ladies, Nicole Kidman, went for a somewhat more reserved approach to her red carpet dressing, opting for a sweetly stylish white jacket, pleated skirt and nude cut-out heels. A perfectly pretty ensemble, but still, we can't help but wish she had followed in her fellow stars' footsteps, and worn something a little more show-stopping.
