Kate Moss walks in Kim Jones’ final show for Louis Vuitton
Kate Moss stepped out of her runway retirement today to star in Kim Jones' final show for Louis Vuitton.
The supermodel who is best friends with the designer took a spin around the runway in Paris to mark the end of Jones' time as men's artistic director of the brand.
Wearing a brown trench coat in the brand's signature print alongside matching hiking boots, Moss closed his final show for autumn winter 2019. The model then joined fellow super Naomi Campbell who had also walked in the show, in joining hands with Jones for his final runway bow.
Moss has been friends with Jones for many years and usually attends his menswear show as a spectator. However, this is the first time she has walked for him and Louis Vuitton menswear. She previously announced her retirement from the runway in 2011 after the Louis Vuitton womenswear show which at the time was headed up by Marc Jacobs.
Earlier this week it was announced that Jones was stepping down after seven years as men's artistic director of Louis Vuitton. He has been widely praised for revitalizing the Vuitton men’s wear line for a younger generation, mixing the house’s heritage with a more street-friendly style. His replacement has yet to be revealed.
