From Mulberry to Tory Burch, see what Kate wore on her first tour of the Big Apple...
Prince William and Catherine’s whirlwind three-day tour of New York is already over. But thanks to a packed schedule, which spanned from meeting Barack Obama to courtside action with Beyonce and Jay-Z, it served up many a watercooler moment. But let's face it, what held court with our attention was Duchess Kate’s wardrobe.
Here’s what the Duchess wore on her first tour of the Big Apple…
Seraphine Coat Landing in a custom-made maroon boucle 'Marina' coat by high street maternity label Seraphine, Kate looked surprisingly fresh despite the long – and slightly delayed - flight. The coat, which is on the store's website but currently out of stock, comes in at a reasonable £275 and is the first item of maternitywear Kate has worn during her second pregnancy, but certainly not the last..
Beulah Dress Less than two hours after landing in the Big Apple, the Duchess was already in her second look, this time a glamorous look for a private dinner with American friends. Timeless, elegant and fail-safe, the black lace 'Amara' dress by British label Beulah with delicate sheer long sleeves and flared skirt made the perfect addition to Kate’s maternity eveningwear style. And you to can get in on the action as the dress is currently available online...
Goat Coat With William in Washington to meet the President, Kate headed to meet the First Lady of New York in the aptly named 'Washington' coat by Brit label Goat. Flying the flag for British designers once again, the chic swing coat with cream trim was an elegant option for the chilly NY temperatures, and exactly why it's now sold out.
Tory Burch Coat For the Royal date night at the basketball, Duchess Kate switched her style allegiances and gave American designers some love. Wearing a versatile tweed Tory Burch coat with black J Crew jeans, it was the perfect outfit to take her from chatting to Beyonce and Jay-Z to posing with sweaty basketball players backstage. Oh and meeting Hilary Clinton, too.

Mulberry Coat Facing a dreary rainy NY day, Kate brought a welcome hit of colour in the form of a shocking pink Mulberry double breasted coat (which can be yours for a mere £1,500). Teamed with a pair of Cornelia James gloves and black Mulberry clutch, her visit to the World Trade Centre Memorial Museum further cemented the trophy coat as Kate number one go-to for maternity style.
Seraphine Dress And what was under the coat? Well, a rather chic - and affordable - high neck dress by maternity label Seraphine, coming in at just £59. And meeting designers including Georgina Chapman and J.Crews’s Jenna Lyons clearly had an affect on Kate’s wardrobe, as she made an unexpectedly bold gold necklace her accessory of choice.
Jenny Packham Dress Saving the best til last, Kate pulled out all the stops for a glamorous gala at the Metropolitan Museum in her tried and tested, three-times recycled Jenny Packham midnight blue gown. And at a whopping £1,960, you can see why she's getting her use out of it. And you know what they say; if the aint broke, don’t fix it...
