The velour tracksuit is officially back, says Juicy Couture
Yes you read right. Hands up if you had one of these plush, pink tracksuits circa 2002. Don’t be shy now…

The Juicy Couture tracksuit is officially back – and we have to say it’s looking better than ever.
Hot on the heels of the iconic ensemble’s appearance in Vetement’s actual couture show, everyone’s favourite 00s brand has released an ad campaign for AW16, focussed completely on the fact that the #TrackIsBack.
Those fame-seekingly vivid velour trackies were the archetypal uniform for off-duty celebs in the early noughties - a handful of offenders even deemed them red carpet appropriate. Juicy's hoodies served dual purpose as they also helped 'camera shy' starlets to hide from the paps - a particularly effective look when accessorised with oversized sunnies and a chic Motorola flip-phone.
And now, after the empire has had a bit of a re-vamp to become Juicy Couture Black Label, the ads depict the new way to wear the ultimate throwback loungewear for AW16. Atlanta de Cadenet, Ruby Aldridge and Cipriana Quann are among the 21 cool girls of the moment modelling the terry-towelling wares in the campaign, styled up with chokers, bomber jackets and ripped denim.
As the company declares that it is still ‘internationally identified as the confident 'It Girl' casual luxury lifestyle brand,’ we’re celebrating all things Juicy with look back at the Noughties IT-girls (that’s Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney and co.) who adopted the style the first time around in the gallery above. Even Gwyneth Paltrow has succumbed to their super-soft charms.
As a certain heiress would say circa 2002; 'Loves it.'
