An exhibition dedicated to Jean Paul Gaultier’s creations will open at the Barbican next month
Jean Paul Gaultier and his incredible creations are coming to London as part of a special exhibition that opens at the Barbican in April.
Visitors will be treated to a colourful catalogue of clothes from the iconic cone bra Madonna wore on her Blonde Ambition tour in 1990 alongside the designer’s runway creations.

The exhibition called The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From The Sidewalk To The Catwalk will open in London before embarking on an international tour to allow fashion fans across the globe to get up close to Jean Paul Gaultier’s design magic.
Celebrity costumes will form a large part of the attraction with pieces worn by Kylie Minogue and Dita von Teese as well as clips from the designer’s former role presenting Eurotrash.

And that’s not all, there’ll be special footage of catwalk shows, music videos and films plus Jean Paul Gaultier has dug into his personal collection to share over 140 couture and ready-to-wear pieces.
Speaking of his excitement the designer said: ‘The English were the first ones to come to my shows and appreciate my fashion. I am super-excited that the show is coming to London. If there is one place other than Paris that I should like to live in, it is London.’
