I've lost count of the amount of times I’ve seen this bag on Instagram
In case you're wondering what the bag of the summer looks like, this is it: a tan raffia in the shape of a Chinese dumpling - the designer's words, not mine.
It's called the Baozi, and is the brainchild of cult Parisian bag brand, Elleme. Although the bag shape isn't new, the raffia finish is a welcome update for SS19, and everyone is in love with it. Literally everyone.

I've spotted it IRL on some of my fashion editor friends, like Hannah Almassi from Who What Wear UK, and all over the 'gram, on influencers such as Marissa Cox, Doina, Sofie Valkiers and many, many more.

The reason it's been such a success is, in my opinion, due to its timeless shape which will transcend the seasons, as well as its raffia finish, which makes it an elevated version of the basket bag trend, if you consider that a little gimmicky.
The bag comes in two sizes, the larger version being the Raisin, and two different colours, both of which seem to have been popular: either white and caramel, or natural and cognac.
