This is officially the most popular colour of the summer (and you need it in your wardrobe)
I must admit I was a little bit dubious when the first murmurs about Gen-Z yellow being the new millenial pink started. Sure, it was all over the catwalk at fashion week, from Jil Sander and Versace to Tibi and Balenciaga, but I wasn't sure the bright hue would translate well IRL.
But then Amal Clooney wore that incredible Stella McCartney dress to the Royal wedding, earning herself the best dressed wedding guest title, which Meghan Markle no doubt took inspo from with this Brandon Maxwell yellow dress while on official duty recently.
And now according to LIKEtoKNOW.it, some of their top selling items for SS18 have been yellow dresses, from high-street retailers like Topshop, ASOS and YesStyle, as well as luxe options from Moda Operandi and Revolve.
In fact, here are the most popular yellow dresses right now, as spotted on influencers.
1. The Self-Portrait yellow dress
Shop now: Self Portrait Embroidered Tiered Chiffon Mini Dress for £300 from Moda Operandi
2. The Yes Style yellow dress
Shop now: Yellow dress for £17.21 from Yes Style
3. The yellow Topshop dress

Here are a few of my favourite yellow buys.
Shop now: FLORAL TOP WITH POLKA DOTS for £9.99 from Zara
Shop now: REDVALENTINO shorts for £112 from The Outnet
Shop now: Trousers for £34.99 from H&M
Shop now: SOLID & STRIPED The Chelsea striped ribbed swimsuit for £155 from MacthesFashion.com
Shop now: Heeled Suede Four Strap Sandal for £69 from & Other Stories
And before you start saying it's just not for you, why not go small with a pair of statement slides or a bright thank top. you might just find you've got a new spring in your step.
Such is the power of optimistic yellow.
